About Me

Marie Sablan is an Art Director, Graphic Designer, and Lead Creative Strategist based in Portland, Oregon. Originally from Guam—"Where America's Day Begins"—Marie relocated to the Pacific Northwest, earned her degree in Graphic Design from Portland State University, and has been visually captivated by the city for over 30 years.

Currently, she serves on the Multnomah County Health Department’s Communications and Marketing team. In this role, she finds immense fulfillment utilizing her expansive design toolkit to educate, support, and meaningfully serve her local community. Her versatile career spans creative disciplines ranging from identity branding to designing and art directing over 50 commercials and online videos during her tenure at Kroger. Deeply invested in her community, Marie has also volunteered her design and leadership skills for the Buckman Elementary Art Show & Sell and St. Rose School auctions. For the past three years, she has served as the Communications Director for the Marianas Alliance for Growth of Islanders (MÅGI), where her talents have contributed to the success of the annual Marianas Festival.

Outside of the design world, Marie is a culinary enthusiast who loves exploring Portland’s vibrant food scene in search of delicious food, beautiful plating and unique dining environments. Greatly inspired by the late Anthony Bourdain, she shares his deep appreciation for traveling, eating, and connecting with others.
